The Samudram Package is a Government Authorized Package that starts from Kochi, Kerala. It is a 5-day trip that takes you to three islands. You travel through a cruise, and your stay and meals are arranged on the cruise itself. The package begins at the SPORTS Office located on Wellington Island, Kochi.
In this, I will tell you about the Lakshadweep Tour Samudram Package and explain how you will travel day by day. I will also share where you can book this package, from where your trip will start, and what types of packages you can choose. LAKSHADWEEP Day 1 – Kochi to Cruise Boarding
On Day 1 you need to reach the SPORTS Office between 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Since you must be there by 9:00 AM it is better to reach Kochi one day earlier and stay nearby so you can easily reach the office on time. This office is your boarding point.
After your details are checked you will be sent to the cruise by 10:00 AM. On this day, you will stay inside the ship itself. Lunch will be provided onboard. In the evening, around 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the ship will start sailing, and your trip officially begins. Evening snacks are also provided.
All meals and stay are included. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are both available, so you need not worry about food choices. Dinner will be served by 8:00 PM. Onboard you can enjoy the amazing sea views and even watch TV for entertainment. For medical needs, a doctor’s team is always available because some people face sea sickness during travel. This completes your Day 1.
LAKSHADWEEP Day 2 – Minicoy Island
On Day 2 you wake up to a beautiful morning view. After breakfast by 10:00 AM you will reach Minicoy Island. The main attraction here is the Lighthouse from where you can see a 360-degree view of the surroundings. One side shows light blue water while the other side shows dark blue, giving a stunning contrast. You can capture these views in your camera.
After exploring, you are taken to a resort for lunch. Here, activities like hiking are included in your package. You can also try scuba diving and other activities, but these require extra charges. Scuba diving costs around ₹2,500. After enjoying you return to the ship by evening. Dinner is served and Day 2 ends.
LAKSHADWEEP Day 3 – Kavaratti Island
On Day 3, after breakfast at 8:00 AM you reach Kavaratti Island by 10:00 AM. You are welcomed with a welcome drink. Here you can enjoy glass-bottom boat rides, sea bathing and kayaking which are included in your package. If you want you can also do scuba diving or snorkeling by paying extra.
Remember scuba diving slots are limited, so you must book them early as during rush times they get filled quickly. After water sports lunch is provided followed by local sightseeing. In the evening around 5:00 PM you must return to the ship. Dinner is served and Day 3 completes.
LAKSHADWEEP Day 4 – Kalpeni Island
On Day 4 breakfast is served at 7:30 AM. By 8:00 AM you reach Kalpeni Island. Again you are welcomed with a welcome drink. Here too you can enjoy snorkeling, sea bathing and kayaking all included in your package.
After lunch you will be entertained with a folk dance show giving you a glimpse of local culture. After enjoying you get evening snacks and must return to the ship by 5:30 PM. Dinner is served and Day 4 ends.
LAKSHADWEEP Day 5 – Return to Kochi
On Day 5 breakfast is served on the ship by 8:00 AM. By 11:00 AM the ship drops you back at Kochi. This marks the end of your Samudram Package Trip.

The Samudram Package provides meals (veg and non-veg), doctor availability and complete stay arrangements inside the ship. While on the islands lunch is provided. Many included activities are part of the package while optional activities like scuba diving or snorkeling require extra charges.
