About Mehandipur Balaji Temple
The special thing about this temple is that here you feel a very different atmosphere because this is the place where special rituals are performed to get rid of negative vibes like ghosts, spirits and supernatural influences. And that is why devotees from far away come here for darshan of Shri Balaji Maharaj. On Tuesdays and Saturdays the crowd increases even more.
In Shri Balaji Temple two aartis are held daily. The first is from 6:00 AM and the second is from 6:00 PM. If we talk about darshan in the temple you can go from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM but during the aarti the darshan process is closed.
How to Reach Mehandipur Balaji Temple
If you want to go on a trip to Mehandipur Balaji Temple then first you should know how you can reach there. You can reach by bus, train, or flight.
- By Bus – You can come by bus from Delhi, Jaipur, or Agra because from these cities you get direct bus facility. Distance from Delhi to Mehandipur Balaji Temple is about 236 km and from Jaipur it is 99 km.
- By Train – The nearest railway station here is Bandikui Railway Station. If you do not get direct train to Bandikui then you can come to Jaipur Railway Station or you can reach Delhi and from there come by bus. You can also come from Agra by buses. Direct bus facility is available which you can book both online and offline.
- By Flight – The nearest airport is Jaipur Airport which is 99 km away. From Jaipur you can book bus or taxi.
- By Personal Vehicle – If you want to come by your vehicle then you can also come. Parking facility is also available in many hotels and dharamshalas nearby.
You can go to temple by bus from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi. The ticket from Sarai Kale Khan to Mehandipur Balaji Temple is about ₹300. The journey by bus from Delhi takes about 7 hours. The bus drops you about 500 meters away from the temple.
Stay and Food Arrangements
On the way itself you will see hotels and dharamshalas where you can stay. I saw a hotel only 200–300 meters away from the temple. The room was about ₹600 after bargaining though they asked for ₹800 first.

Darshan Timings and Aarti
- Morning aarti – 6:00 AM
- Evening aarti – 6:00 PM
- Darshan – 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM (except during aarti)
Other Temples to Visit Nearby
After darshan in Balaji Temple you can go to Shri Ram Temple located right in front. First aarti happens in Shri Ram Temple then in Balaji Temple. Here you also see idols of Shri Krishna Ji and Radha Ji. Darshan here takes only 2–3 minutes.
From here you can go to Panchmukhi Hanuman Ji Temple situated on Teen Pahadi. On the way you also get to see ancient temples of Kali Mata and Anjani Mata Ji. The climb is about 1 km with around 100 stairs. The temple is very peaceful with bhajans and kirtans happening.
While coming down you can also visit Shri Ghate Wale Baba Ji Temple and Shri Samadhi Wale Baba Ji Temple. It is said that before taking darshan of Balaji Maharaj one must also take darshan of Samadhi Wale Baba Ji.

- Avoid Tuesdays and Saturdays because of heavy crowd.
- Best months – September to March when the weather is pleasant with 23–25 °C temperature.
- Avoid April to June due to summer heat.
